Thanks. Layering is a terrific technique and painterly. Painting is demonstrably harder to produce though it has complete compositional control. But acquiring a well layered composition on the fly in street photography work still has its challenges.
Layering is a method of looking and for photography there is an element of finding opportunistic settings. They are not available all the time. Tableaux photography has always interested me but that takes a level of invention (as opposed to opportunity) that I have not shown any talent in achieving.
