Carrie Fisher

Carrie Fisher never received a star on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame; but there are blank stars there and the fans appropriated one for her to commemorate her untimely death.  Her mother's star (Debbie Reynolds) is half a block west of this one with more elegant formal displays.  I like Carrie Fisher's better and I think she would have as well.  The focus is of course on her Princess Leia role but I remember her best for the small part she had in Warren Beatty's brilliant "Shampoo."  Her greatest personal contribution is on the lives of people who have bi-polar disorder - - validating the disease and living well with it.
