Thanks.  They sell paint that turns a wall into a chalkboard.

Mine do as well but fortunately not on the walls.  They did use a couch as a canvass quite a few years ago.

a perfect format for the storytelling motive - the repeat of the rectangle is indeed cineastic and the chaotic drawings make me ask myself: are kids the better artists?
afterall, Josh, you prove your sense for composition and hidden messages. I think, I love that.

Kids are certainly better at free thinking which is helpful for some of art.  But a free thinking messy chaos, for example, could never produce your wonderful, controlled images.

It seems to me an ordered place... when I think back to my room :D
The artists, you know, are very ordered :|

Nice shot. Great light and fluorescent colours as children love.

I had a room as a kid which when finally cleaned had a 6 month old newspaper at the bottom level......

Haha... :D Well, it's one of those cases where a newspaper can be called history book. Here Cometh The Hero :tale:

I love this photo! A chaotic collection of wild imaginations all chalked into one! Love the contrast in colors too! :)

Perfect that this image may strike women completely differently than men (see MARX77 comment below).  Every woman I know could be this girl and I enjoy thinking that.

Man... This could very well be a shot right out the movie The Shining!
I can almost imagine a scene that would look something like this - correction, exactly like this taking place behind one of the doors of the Overlook Hotel.
Very Kubrick-esque!

Really appreciate the compliment but Kubrick would have taken ten days and 50 takes to get the shot and neither I nor the little girl have that much intention and/or attention in our respective contributions to this shot.  Love that you you find the latent threat in this chaos.

He would have indeed! And then some.

I have a 4 year old niece... (*shudders) who continues to gleefully inflict the same type of mental torture upon me as Kubrick did with Shelley Duvall throughout the film's shooting, and yet, I find her absolutely adorable!
