Hollywood Skaterby $makepictures

There was a true drive-in restaurant in Hollywood, CA 50 years ago near where this mannequin is today on Highland Ave off Hollywood Boulevard. The waitresses looked just like this and rolled around on skates. This may be an artifact from that restaurant. And here is the same sculpture in Paris! [link]

But in my gallery it is part of what inadvertently has become a series about Hollywood's fallen mannequins. Hollywood still has a surface of sleaze, like grease on an engine. It's not coming off. Somehow the shopkeepers in Hollywood have no shame in using these damaged icons right upfront as advertising: "Come here and get your tit cracked open or your head split or your fingers broken-off." Strange days.
