First year just flew byEarlier this month I celebrated the first year of being a member of the deviantART UI team. I'm so grateful for being given the opportunity to work with and learn from my colleagues. Being a huge NBA fan, I'd probably compare "the way we play" to... the San Antonio Spurs

Really, no showing off, no muscle flexing in front of cameras, no individuals before the team. Only true team work, sharing everything with others, everyone is always ready to listen and help. Wait, let me pinch my self in case I'm... no, I'm awake

I suppose this could be used as an ironic commentary on the condition of the United States - - damaged icons and such. I see it as a direct portrait of James Dean and those things that brought him to life and brought him to death, broken in a car crash and still broken on Hollywood Boulevard where this was taken. No matter how cheap this fiberglass version may have been, the sculptor caught the confusion in his eyes - - at least when the lighting is right.
