Thanks for the comment. There are competitions for facial hair and I suspect many of the pictures you linked me to were taken at those types of events.

This picture serves a very important mission. It shows a completely ordinary man, not the kind of picture you usually see today. While most pictures today present supernaturally good-looking top models, this picture serves as a much-needed counter-point to all that superficial, holier than thou portrayal.
