Children in a company housing settlement, Puerto Rico (LOC) 1941. Part of a set from a Library of Congress collection of public domain photographs taken in color in the early 1940's with cameras using larger formats than 35mm. Titles can be searched on the LOC site or by going to Flikr and searching under the title "Library of Congress." Photographs have been cropped slightly and the color and contrast adjusted to be more favorably displayed.
Hmm..... I wonder if my grandmother knew these 'kids'. She's over 70 so she's likely to remember if she met them or not. Either way, I'm sure she'd be delighted to see this..... and in such wonderful quality!
I love this old Puerto Rican pics, makes me wanna go back in time >.<
