my dad used to live in New York :) He lived right over top a bakery and he says he always woke up to the smell of baking breads and pastries. A very awesome self portrait ^^

That is so cool! I would love to visit New York City! :3 Most of my mom's family lives in upstate New York, but we never got to visit the big city...:(

So the question is, did you have a slice before or after this was taken?

Part of the tragedy of my age is that I am no longer permitted to eat cheese. While at some fancy pizza place in foodie LA I might order the occasional very special cheeseless pizza, I suspect if I had attempted that order in this New York classic street pizza venue I would have been pelted with slices in front of the kids.

I like how they each made pizza sandwiches. I lived on 84th St., East Side. Do you remember the pizza place you were at?

South right off 86th on Lexington west side of the street. Could have been Third Ave but almost certain it was Lex. When I was a kid I went three to four times a week to the "have a slice 25 cents" on 86th about three doors west of Lexington but that place is gone.

I think I know the place, I want to say Mamma's something, can't remember, could have been Papa's something. You definitely don't find 25cent slices any more. There's a great place on 2nd and 84th called Two Boots, if you're ever there again.
